Lion David Beese, having just joined Shakespeare Lions, did them proud in the District’s Stapleford Golf Competition, coming out as the outright Trophy winner with a great score of 39 points.
Shakespeare were represented by a total of six players in the competition, held at the Bromsgrove Golf Centre on the 17th August.
A total of 16 golfers from Clubs in 105M took part in the tournament; this being the largest field since the tournament’s inception. Of particular interest to everyone was the team which included no less than 5 Past District Governors.
