Harborough TWENTY 12 promotes Message in a Bottle

Harborough TWENTY 12 Lions Club spent two full days at the Market Harborough Medical Centre on the 3rd and 10th of October when the Centre was carrying out the flu jabs for seniors.

The Lions had a desk in the Foyer with all the M.I.A.B posters etc. and during the two days they gave out a total of 1,245 bottles. As most of the patients were in couples the Lions explained one bottle could be used for two people and as a result they believe they accommodated over 2,000 patients with the facility.

There was no intention to use it as a money raising event, but much to their surprise people were insistent on giving small donations, and these totalled £218 over the two days.
