It isn’t often that Henry VIIIth is seen in Bromsgrove, but thanks to Lion President Bob Dutton, aided and abetted by Lions Marilyn Harris and Bob Wilkes, he joined other members of the club on their bric-a-brac stall and helped Bromsgrove Lions win 3rd prize at the recent Elizabethan Fayre. This annual event involves many different charitable organisations who set up and decorate stalls in the town’s High Street to coincide with the procession of the ancient Court Leet.
Club members enjoyed a day of fun together whilst raising funds for local charities. In addition to using the event to promote Bromsgrove Lions within the local community, the club helped to raise awareness of the issues surrounding Diabetes.
A very worthwhile day all round.
