Warwick Lions celebrate World Sight Day

Warwick Lions Club took the Mayor of Warwick around the town on Lions World Sight Day where he wore a pair of glasses that simulated Macular Degeneration.

Three members of Warwick Lions Club, Pauline Fanti, Caroline Farrimond and Geoff Barrett escorted him

They visited the Tourist Information Office to see what is available to people with sight problems. Then a visit to Grays Opticians where Mr Gray gave us lots of information as to what can now be detected with the equipment that is available.

Finally a visit to Warwick Library to see what is available to everyone; Alison McKellar the library manager showed us the fantastic amount of books, magazines, audio books for all ages.

Lots of leaflets were handed out to the public on their route around the town. An excellent way to promote EYE Health and to encourage the public to get their eyes tested.

Many thanks were given to the Mayor, Councillor Bob Dillon.
