A monster day fundraising 

Great weather again attracted cyclists and walkers to Packwood National Trust House for Knowle and Dorridge Lions annual Stroll & Bikeathon on Sunday 10th July.

‘This year we had a record number of 555 cyclists take part, choosing between 10, 16 or 28 mile circuits,’ said organiser & President Dave Carter. ‘We took over £3600 cash on the day including bikeathon entry fees, donations from 144 walkers and receipts from our hugely successful BBQ, which sold out early due to the fine weather.

Packwood House provides a super setting for this annual family event and our new BBQ and our sponsor’s Hollywood Monster proved great attractions.

‘We hope that when all sponsorship has been paid in the event will have raised £20,000 for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and Troop Aid’, says Dave. ‘We retain 20% for locally determined causes, which makes it all the more worth while’
