Sandwell Lions Club are delighted to announce the birth of Harrison Alec Hawkins, who was born to two of their charter members, David and Kylie Hawkins on the 29th November 2011.

Harrison is sure to be a Lion to follow in the footstep of his grandparents, Alec and Lesley Spence. Alec had been a long serving Lion up until his untimely death in 2009, and Lesley is currently President of Harrow and Pinner Lions Club in 105A and is currently serving as Zone Chairman.

Harrison’s parents, David and Kylie met through Lions.

David responded to a Service call where Kylie and her housemates needed to move out of a property quickly – David was only too happy to come to their rescue!

Both Kylie and Harrison can boast Lions Service in the womb – Kylie attended many Lions events before she was born and Harrison played a special part in our clubs planting of 937 trees at Sandwell Valley Country Park in November. (We did have the hot water and towels ready as the day of our tree planting was Harrisons due date!)
