Planting in the Snow |

Despite the snow, freezing rain and sometimes fog Kidderminster and District Lions were out planting trees with the help of St Mary’s Primary School pupils. Trees, which had been donated by the Woodland Trust, well I write trees, they actually looked like sticks to my untrained eye, were planted last Friday with the help of 8 children who are members of their school’s gardening club. Wyre Forest Council was brilliant they sourced an ideal site that they are hoping to turn into a beautiful park area for local residents. They kindly prepared the holes into which the children planted the sticks, whoops sorry trees. The children loved the thought of planting trees for the future and cold fingers and running noses did not stop their fun. | |||
