Museums Worcestershire Project - a Massive Knitted Tree

You may remember that Worcester Museums are engaged in a project to create the largest massive knitted tree ever! They are aiming for 4,000 leaves by the end of the year.

We can knit in Lions colours & put our name on the leaves, so this would be a good opportunity for some free publicity at a different venue.

  • Here in Kidderminster we have made a start & you can see a selection of leaves above. We're working on the gold ones with blue lettering now.
  • The leaves won't be wasted: they will be all sewn together at the end of the project to make blankets which will be donated to charities. The knitting can be seen as a Welfare project.
  • The pattern can be downloaded in either a Word document or a PDF file, but you can use your own if you have better ideas.

Please pass the leaves on to me and I will make arrangements near the end of the year to present them to the museum.

Please get knitting - each leaf takes half an hour max. including stopping for a cuppa.

Thanks
