Ordinary People doing Amazing Things

The First International Music Competition Held at the International Convention in Sydney 2010

The Global Youth Music Competition instrument selected was the violin.

The winner at Europa Forum, when violin was the instrument, was Sophie Rosa (BS) representing MD105.

Sophie therefore represented Europe, competing against the winners from the other six constitutional areas of Lions Clubs International.

Sophie’s talent, and years of hard study and practice, stood out and she was awarded second place in the competition.

Apart from the recognition, she received the prize of $7,000.

The winner was Jeremy Allen, USA and in third place was Aaron Chan, China.

Music is a hard and expensive choice of career, or hobby, and the chance that Lions have given to Sophie and to others in the future,is another programme in which we should take pride.
