‘New Hope’ children galloped towards the winning post to raise money for a new sensory room at their care centre that will cost over £5,000.

Worcester Lions organised a 'Race Night with a Difference' on 26th March, with Region Chairman Simon Moss acting as Commentator for the evening and Turf Accountant Christine Moss assisting with the Tote. With the additional help of the children as jockeys on hobby horses over £1,100 was raised.

The New Hope Centre provides specialist daytime short break care working with families that have children with disablities and complex health care needs. It opened on July 26th 2010 in Worcester. Jean Wilson, Centre Manager, said "I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped to organise our Race Night. I felt it was a wonderful event, really enjoyable especially for the children. It was well organised and well attended and I just wanted all the Lions to know how grateful I am for their time and energy in making the night such a success."
