Healthy Heart or BROKEN HEART???

Your support is needed! The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. To commemorate this special anniversary BHF have launched “Mending Broken Heart Appeal“, which aims to fund research into regenerative treatment which could help the heart to “heal itself“ and prevent thousands of people developing further heart problems. As part of their celebration they are hoping they can recruit a team of 50 BHF walkers to take part in the “The Coventry Walkathon”, which is organized by the Coventry Leofric Lions on Sunday 15 May and raise sponsorship funds for BHF Mending Broken Hearts appeal.

In the picture, insert, Lions President Peter Davies is presenting Mike Shearer with the Lions pennant for his effort Mike Shearer, who has entered for his eleventh Walkathon and has raised £395 for Coventry Myton Hospice and £1325 for BHF, Donna Fundraiser manager from British Heart foundation, with their mascot said “If you would like a T-Shirt please contact me on 07714 069132”.

If you wish to raise money for charity or a good cause the Coventry Walkathon a proven vehicle for you to raise money knowing all the money you raise goes to them.

What's the advantages of taking part? It gives you the opportunity to get as many people to walk a safe, well marked course. Sponsor Forms are supplied and adequate marshals and first add will be on hand .your biggest job will be to collect the sponsor.

The 1.75 mile perimeter of the park will serve as a lap of the walk and each walker can decide how many laps they would like to attempt.

There is a fancy dress competition which will be judged by the Lord Mayor and the Coventry Lions president giving you a chance to swell your sponsor money by £100 and the are other minor prizes.
