Warwick Lions Club Carnival Queen

Wednesday 18th May Carnival Queen judging competition which attracted 13 contestants from local schools in Warwick (thanks to organiser Lion Pauline Fanti)and took place at Warwick Girls Marching Band headquarters. The judging panel of 3 included Patricia Winnett wife of club member Norman and Keith Wedgebury and Ben Day representing our local radio stations of Coventry and Warwickshire and Touch FM respectively.

The eventual winner of Carnival Queen was Courtney Walker (aged 15) who will be ably assisted by the 2 princesses of Grace Hancock (aged 10) and Mollie May (aged 6) on Carnival day which this year is taking place on Saturday 25th June 2011, with the procession starting at 12 noon which winds its way around the streets of Warwick to arrive at St Nicholas Park at 1pm when the annual fete including charity stall holders, arena events including a tug of war competition and assault course will commence until 5pm. The theme for this years procession is 'Travel Through the Ages'.
