Lions say ‘Join monster of event’ Sunday 10th July |

This year we are re-launching our Summer Stroll with a new charity – Troop Aid. Following another highly successful Knowle Fun Run, the Lions are now encouraging everyone to get on their bikes for a 10, 16 or 28 mile sign-posted family ride along the Warwickshire country lanes in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research; or to pull on their walking boots for a Summer Stroll for Troop Aid. ‘Last July over 400 cyclists took part in our Solihull & Warwickshire Bikeathon and raised over £16,000 to help beat blood cancers,’ says Lions President Adrian Harris. ‘We hope even more riders will join us for a great day out on Sunday 10th July. At the same time we are re-launching our Summer Stroll, now in its 10th year, with a new charity – Troop Aid - giving readers another opportunity to enjoy the paths and tracks around Packwood House with a choice of 2, 5 or 8 miles sign-posted routes. Both events return to Packwood House for a great Lions Bar B Que. If some family members don’t ride then they can take a stroll along the footpaths and canals around Packwood National Trust house, whilst others burn off calories along the lanes.’ Full details of both events can be found at www.knowleanddorridgelions.com/fundraising-events / or call 08458 335894. |
