Santa Arrested In Marston Green

Marston Green & District Lions Club arranged a visit by Santa to five families who have been recent victims of crime. Shown in the picture below is (the real) Father Christmas with two Community Police officers and Lions Lin Jones (left) and Pauline Hoogerwerf.

This is the second year that Marston Green have undertaken to bring a bit of joy into the lives of people who have suffered at the hands of others and it was a great success, both from the point of view of Lions community service and also forging links with the local Police. Pauline said "all the families had been told they were getting a visit from the Community Police that afternoon, but were surprised to see Father Christmas on their doorstep as well!"
