Aldridge Charter Celebration

Aldridge Lions Club Members and partners celebrated the 34th Anniversary of the Clubs foundation.

Over 70 members and guests enjoyed a fine evening the highlight of which was the presentation by District Governor Andy Pemberton to 4 members of the club who had each given 20 years service.

Also during the evening the Club presented a number of blankets and other knitted items for the Precious Memory Boxes project of the District Governor’s partner Ann.

The picture shows Lynn Redfern and Pearl Jobbins, who had made all the items, presenting the knitted items to Ann.

PDG Mike Jobbins had already presented a number of items to this project at District Convention on behalf of Pearl and Lynn to SANDs representative Liz Brown.

In addition the Club and Zone A made donations to the project, and Zone Chairman and Aldridge Club member Mike Barker made a personal contribution.
